Founder & CEOMonica Ahuja

Monica is a Pakistani-Indian multidimensional entrepreneur and a high profile member of the South Asian Community in the Washington. D.C. area. She trained in Bharatnatyam Dance in India before moving to the United States in 2008. While she considers Bollywood Dance and Hip Hop/Freestyle to be her specialty, she has also dabbled in Tango, Jazz, and even Ethiopian dance moves. Having choreographed and produced countless dance videos, she believes that collaboration is the key to success in dance as it can give upcoming dancers a chance to have their moment to shine.

At Let’s Groove Studio, she teaches Bollywood Dance, Bollyhop, and Bolly Zumba.

Digital Marketing StrategistJason Kazi

Jason Kazi is a Bangladeshi-American social media and marketing professional currently living in Herndon, Virginia. Over the years, he has managed digital strategy for a wide variety of businesses and organizations ranging from a community platform for South Asians to international development organizations. He is currently a Digital Strategy Manager for a national public health organization based in Washington, D.C. While not a professional or frankly, talented dancer, he has attended a variety of dance events and concerts in the Washington, D.C. area over the years. In his free time, Jason enjoys grocery shopping, cooking, attending cultural activities, and bicycling.

At Let's Groove Studio, he manages all digital properties including the studio's website, presence on the MindBody app, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube), and paid digital marketing campaigns.

InstructorStyles Entertainer

Styles is a diverse dancer from Texas classically trained in street dancing. He has appeared in various music videos and concerts with artists such as Justin Timberlake, Tabbi Bonney, Omarion, And Toni Braxton. Graduate Of Juilliard and now currently a member of The Chinese Institute of Ballet and Director of the School of Arts in Tianjin China. Styles was also a finalist on Season 8 Of SYTYCD, he now looks forward to bringing his southern vibe to the DMV.

InstructorScotte Blu

Scotte Blu recently moved to the area from Austin, Texas. She began dancing when she was a young girl but started getting more serious around 3 years ago. Her passion for dance has increased since then and her main goal as an instructor is to spread the joy of dance around the world to her students. She has also been on award-winning dance teams, as well as won multiple scholarships at dance events so you won’t want to miss out on her classes!

At Let's Groove Studio, she teaches Afrobeats and Hip Hop.

InstructorRashi Thapar

Rashi Thapar is an American-born Indian who is a dancer, actress, and content creator. She has been dancing since she was a child and has competed at collegiate level competitions with Maryland Dhoom. She has a few years of basic Kathak training while her dance team has given her experience in Semi-Classical, Bhangra, Raas/Garba, Modern, Hip Hop, Bollywood, and some other styles.

At Let's Groove Studio, she teaches Commercial Bollywood and Bollyhop.

InstructorJeet Dave

Jeet has been dancing professionally since he was 11 years old. He is technically trained in Hip Hop and other street dance styles such as krumping, robotics, and lyrical. For him, dance is his life and passion. He expresses himself through dance. One interesting thing about him is that he started dancing as a ballet dancer but then realized that he was made for Hip Hop and therefore switched. As he has choreographed and marketed various dance shows and musicals he sees this as a golden opportunity for a boost in his dancing career. He is determined and is full of a lot of energy and cannot wait to be part of this wonderful community.

InstructorAshley Case

Ashley has been dancing since she was 8 years old. She started with jazz, contemporary, and competition dancing throughout high school. She then began training in hip-hop, Afrobeats, traditional west African dance, dancehall, and heels when she was in college in New York. Ashley has been training virtually under Latonya Style from Jamaica throughout quarantine to receive specialized training in authentic female dancehall.
Although Ashley can be very shy and quiet, she finds her confidence or “spice” through dancing and hopes to help other people accomplish this through her class.

InstructorBriena Brinay

Briena Brinay is a Black American dancer that is multifaceted in both the performing arts and the digital arts. She has been dancing since the age of 6 and teaching since the age of 14. Over the years, she has trained under several companies, dance teams, and choreography programs. She has a passion for hip hop and heels but has gained experience in contemporary, modern, and lyrical. She leads and has led students of all ages, and believes that confidence, consistency, and passion is the key to becoming a great dancer!
